My Thoughts About Teaching

I believe that teaching is an opportunity for sharing knowledge and building the new generations of men and women, such an honorable action is not restricted to classrooms; teaching is also an action of leaders. After being a student and having some teaching experience, I have developed a profile of the kind of teacher I would like to be, a teacher that connects the learning material with current events and broader subjects while fostering teamwork, systematic analysis, innovation and entrepreneurship. The teaching environment should facilitate "Learning by Doing" by incorporating the most current technological tools. The adopted technologies shall facilitate comprehension, evaluation, assessment, and communication.

 Core Values for teaching:

• To cultivate in the classroom an environment that encourages the formation and strengthening of ethical values that foster professionalism and help students soar to new heights by discussing their ideas.
• Students should understand concepts, as well as the relationships and applications that enhance skills on problem solving and decision making.
• Comprehension is more important than grades. Thus, a teacher evaluation in the middle of the semester would allow innovation and change of the teaching style so that it provides benefits for current and future students.
• I believe that teaching requires understanding of proper teaching methods and entails the attainment of proper skills by annual enhancement through training and active learning from evaluations.

Teaching Experience:

-Teaching Assistant - Ag. Commodities and Food Products Marketing, I was on charge of the Options & Future Trading platform, LSU A&M.

-I have received the class for preparation of International Teaching Assistants at Louisiana State University.

-Instructor of Club Apícola Zamorano and website design for La Zeta Newspaper at Pan American School of Agriculture El Zamorano.

-Extension Agent, I taught beekeeping technologies and business management skills to beekeepers.

-Teaching assistant: Production Economics, Introduction to Administration, and Anatomy of Animals and Plants at Pan American School of Agriculture El Zamorano.
